Chapter 4 : Sanc Adiet (Part 1)

"Fonclanc" is known as the largest plains in Karutsuio, although 1/5 of it is the metropolitan city known as " Sanc Adiet". The fire skill people especially those who are very talented and strong are able to become royalty, and they have ruled the country through this city, the capital for many generations.

The city is divided based on the livelihood of the god skill people, the upper tier buildings are reinforced with god skills thus boasting quite a considerable amount of strength. The imperial palace is an amazing 10 storeys high. The middle class and below have sightly reinforced buildings which includes a protective wall.

In the centre of the city there is a high protective wall surrounding the 'Noble district' where all the nobles live, as the area was build on a hill, the wall seems much larger. A wall stands between the 'nobel district' and the 'middle class district', followed by the 'commoners' at the outskirts.

The middle class district is build similarly to the noble district, the streets are build from higher ground to lower with a wall that partition the different classes of people, with the mind of the powerful overlooking the commoners. As the commoners district are also in a higher location than the plains, they have already started expanding the town by lining up new cobblestone roads.

Basically the buildings should be gradually rising towards the centre of the city, but due to some confusion in the development policy for a period of time the skyline of the city is distorted. In the outskirts of the city, there are reinforced buildings for the skilless, these are some benefits for being a commoner here.

The "Volance Palace" stood above all in the noble district. As the city and palace kept expanding and developing, the original structure of the palace is no longer there, part of it are buried under the stone pavement, forming a underground labyrinth.

The royalties lived near the peak, the walls and roofs in their residences are embedded in decoration with the same materials as the crystals, allowing the room to bathe in the sunlight's radiance.

In one of the room on the upper floors of the palace, there is a young girl dress in a luxury red dress, she threw the book onto the table as she was sitting on a artisan chair shaking her legs in boredom.

"Boring, I am bored" (Crimson Princess Violet)
"Princess, that is improper."(Kreilov)

Her interlocked hands placed behind her head, she who is sitting crossed legged and rocking on the chair was non other than the crimson young princess, the one who was standing next to her and always getting hit on the head is her exclusive guard cum educational clerk name Kreilov.

"Please stop, this is not lady-like."(Kreilov)
"Since I have nothing to do, and there isn't anyone looking anyway."(Crimson Princess Violet)

'Boring ~ Boring' while rocking on the chair is the princess of the flame skills : Violet Volance, standing next to her is Kreilov who was frowning, as he hold the back of the chair down to prevent her from falling.

"No booing. Princess I wish you would be more self aware of the duties of being a royalty."(Kreilov)

As one of the person who is standing on the apex of the flame skill people, "O powerful and sublime noble, constantly splendor that must not cease to existence" or so, as Violet dig her nails in boredom, while ignoring Kriel's nagging.

"The bureaucrats around Dad are all pitch black on the inside, they look similar to the evil god statue."(Crimson Princess Violet)
"Evil god statue?"(Kreilov)
"The Black Statue that is enshrine in the shrine of the skilless."(Crimson Princess Violet)
"Princess, you are a noble descendant of the Flame god, you should not be speaking of the things regarding the low born."(Kreilov)

Violet's face became disgusted, and Kreilov was frowning while nagging.

"I want to see Grandpa Zerald."(Violet)
"..................."(Kreilov)

Violet who wanted to see Kreilov plain face frowning in front of her, purposely started a topic about Zerald. He had not been visiting this remarkable palace for the past few years, though he was a very good companion for Violet during her childhood.

"You should not be starting a topic about the weird person."(Kreilov)
"Why not? Zerald is a master of the water skills, did you not know that he even surpassed our palace elites of the water corps?"(Violet)

The "God skills guard corps" is a group responsible for the patrol and security of the city and palace, within it is a special elite corps which protects and works for the palaces official. The "Water corps" are composed of the elites that excels in water skill healing. By the way, Kreilov is the captain of the "Fire Corps" in charge with protecting the royalty.

"If Princess kindness towards him is being gossip around, people might mistaken it as he is princess's
favorite. A person like him likes to invite calamity." (Kreilov)

".... .... hmmm Zerald isn't such a weak person."(Violet)

Violet who begin to pout as she turned her face away.

While Sun went to the forest to harvest nuts and berries, Zerald who was currently in the house begin to talk about Sun past. The difference between the god skill people and the skilless could clearly be seen after the story, different types of feelings gushed out from me as I do not know what the common sense was here.

"What happened to those 2 people"(Yusuke)
"They had planned to silence me, so I killed one of them on the spot, while the other escape in the direction of the wind skill people."(Zerald)

Presently this is called the Village of Rufuku, in the past there was no ruler or caretaker who is a god skill person, no one know when did this village even started.

Since the village doesn't have a lord, these no god skill people are often treated like wild animals. Within the groups of young god skill people, there are those who like to test their power for enjoyment on the skilless, there are those who rule using fear and others who work diligently.

The god skill flegings who attacked Sun and her father, misunderstood that Zerald rushed over because they killed his possessions without permission.

As Zerald is one of the water god skill people, and the earth skill people have the same rank, between the earth god : Zaruna and the water god : Sharuna, Sharuna is of a higher divinity, thus being an authority higher than the earth skill people.

If one were to kill the possession of a higher authority, they will be judged in a arbitrary god's people court trial. As larceny is capital punishment, they might have their properties confiscated and even become slaves. Due to the fear of capital punishment they tried to silence Zerald from letting this out.

Zerald's water god skill does not only have the power to heal, if one is able to master the power of healing they would be able to destroy one's body depending on how you use it.

"The wind skill people have the talent for communication and movement, while I was strangling the earth skill person with his blood vessel, the wind skill person manage to slip pass and escape."(Zerald)

"That's a pretty gruesome story......"(Yusuke)

While listening to this terrible story, Yusuke begin to get angry. No matter what world you come from to have a comrade who understand these feelings .

"O mister in the world where you live, are there comrade who feels the same?"(Zerald)
"Well, there are weird people who lived there, but no one is treated as animals even in the present days it is unimaginable."(Yusuke)

Although it seem to have veer too far off topic, Yusuke begin to explain about his world, one where human rights are currently important where countries will go to the very extend to protect these rights of their own people, Zerald was filled with different variety of emotions, and said "That is a good place"

"This had became a long talk"(Zerald)

Once the table is cleared of items, Zerald will be heading to the town to sell them as he could wait no longer. While I was helping Zerald, a green object dropped out of the strong durable bag on the chair.

'What was that rod like object that fell off the chair? Let me pick it up and see' (Yusuke)

Kin Kon

Semi transparent gem like objects. It's size is about a length of a index finger and around 5mm in diameter. It's shape is similar to a hexagonal pencil with flat ends.

"?! Oh, that's a crystal. The bag on the chair is my purse."(Zerald)

[Crystals] a very hard rod shaped like money. This currency is created by the flame skill and earth skill people and are currently in circulation in Karutsio. It is said that this crystals is made up of condense light, and the manufacturing method is a secret.

This country's capital have the largest city in the whole of Karustsuio and is know as "Cinq à sept". The royal family of the flame skill reign this city and manages the mint of crystals.

Of course the currency is also split up to honor the 4 major gods, the value of the crystals are determined by the color, red is known as the voruna crystals, one of it equals to 5 blue sharuna crystals or 10 yellow Zaruna crystals or 30 green Fuyoruna crystals.

"This is confusing... ..."(Yusuke)
"Hohoho you better remember it for future use."(Zerald)

I held it above my head and tried to look through the semi transparent fuyoruna green crystal to see if the light could pierce through it, as I remembered the chime sound when I touched it 'should i try customizing?' and I opened the customize menu.

I borrowed one of the voruna crystal from his bag and compared it's parameter with the fuyoruna crystals, it seems like only one part is different while the other parameters are the same.

Even though they are the same type of crystals there are some delicate differences, this was probably due to some marginal error.

"..... let's try"

My hands begin to wrapped in a light, placed within them was a fu~yoruna crystal, after the effect ended, there was a red translucent voruna crystal.

"Wait a min, bro!"

'Gatan" As the chair fell when Zerald stood up, he hurried around and check the surroundings. Today within this room there was only me and Zerald, no one else is around. I whispered "This is wrong, right?", as I passed the customized crimson crystal to him.

The crystal that have transformed is real. The crystal which was minted by the Artisans of the fire skills and earth skills people, could not be counterfeit. But, this is not a fluke but genuine crystal.

"...... listen up, Yusuke"(Zerald)

Never talk to anyone about this. Don't show this to anyone. In this bag, there are 8 Fuyoruna crystals.

This afternoon, 8 Fu-yoruna crystals disappeared from Zerald's crystals bag, and somehow the number of Voruna crystals had increase by 8.

It was a strange phenomenon.

"Good morning, teacher. .... .... Yusuke San"(Sun)

"Ohh, good morning Sun"(Zerald)
"Good morning"(Yusuke)

As Sun was coming out from the hallway, I was sorting and arranging the items like clothings and shoes that were on the table with Zerald. "You could try running a tailor store" Zerald suggested, "Right it might not be a bad idea" ask I answered.

"Yosh, let's begin"(Yusuke)

While I was at it, it look as though my fingers were dancing in the air, the first item on the table was a pair of battered shoes which begin to envelop in light, as god technique people like to wear elaborate clothing and design, I turned it into a shiny new pair of shoes.
This is the technique which I who came from another world have acquired. It is known as "Customized Created".

All of a sudden, I felt a gaze and looked up and saw Sun as our eyes met. Sun hastily exited to the hallway. It's been a few days since I was summoned to this world, I have accustom to the life in this village and occasionally I will talk to the villagers. However, it seems like I am unable to talk to Sun.
I sighed at the thought of it. As Zerald begin to notice the awkwardness between the 2 of us, he made sure Sun have left the house before speaking to me about it.

"Please don't think bad about her, she have a very unfortunate past that she is burdened with."(Zerald)

Zerald closed his eyes and place his index finger in front of his mouth while saying"it's a secret", and he begin to talk about the past event which Sun had experienced.

"Oh my, Sun. Is the teacher/doctor in today?" (Villager Auntie Bahana)
"Aunt Bahana ... . Yes, it seems teacher/doctor is busy researching on Yusuke's god technique."(Sun)

Sun who came to the forest to harvest fruits, nuts and berries, when she met the friendly neighbor who called out to her. It was one of the young lady whom was living nearby when Sun was living with her father. She knew Sun since Sun was a child, and often worried about the welfare of Sun.

She had lost her husband in her youth, it stated officially that it was due to a hunting accident, but deep down inside she knew the truth, it was due to the god technique people who kill for fun. She understand the pain in which sun is feeling after losing her father to the god technique people. Thus, Sun has a trauma towards young man of the god technique people.

"Are you not used to it yet?"(Villager Auntie Bahana)
".... .... I know he is a good person, but ... ... it still absolutely scary.... "(Sun)

Sun knew about Yusuke's attitude and feelings, but the problem lies with her own heart. However, the fear of the god technique people which was engraved in her childhood isn't that easy to overcome. As heard from Zerald, it seems that Yusuke doesn't seem to be from the god technique people.

Even so, that power of that god technique person who came from another world, summoned by the "Evil/calamity god's shrine" also know as "The Shrine of no technique" seem different from the other god techniques. In this world, those who are summoned by the "evil/calamity god", are recognized as "evil/calamity god technique people".

"Well, it is not in a hurry. Just take it slowly, you could try to speak to him bit by bit."(Villager Auntie Bahana)

I could start from the morning greetings first. If I could slowly get use to it, I maybe able to speak normally.

"Today, I wonder what should I ask... ... maybe how's the taste of the food?"(Sun)

'Teku Teku' the sound of the footsteps made by my father as he entered the room, while holding a colorful basket of flowers with lala fruits. Occasionally I will look up and ask him, my father would answer with a smile. "The usual shrine from the usual road." On that day, he was heading over with the usual honorable offerings. He abruptly stopped his movement for a moment.
'What happened' as I thought to myself, I look towards the road ahead and saw a young guy with green hair and another guy with yellow hair standing on the road.

Those are god technique people ~ as it came across my mind instantly, I saw my father being thrown off the roadside and he tumble off into the bushes. The first sight of what I saw was my father bleeding profusely while trying to get up from the bushes.

I cried out my father's name, and started rushing towards him running in anxiety, but the ground below my feet suddenly began to swell up and attack me. I have no idea what is happening around me, one moment I was struggling desperately with a chilling pain in my stomach, the next it became a burning pain.

The 2 god technique people were sneering. I felt my vitality fading from my body, a stream of blood was gushing out from my stomach, I came to a conclusion"Ah... ... I am dying."

From the opposite of the road, a blue hair guy came running towards me after seeing what happen. That person knows. That person is one of the god technique people. Although, that person is -

".....!"

The glaring morning sunlight and the cheerful birds chirping, it seems like everything that just happened was a lingering nightmare which begin to disappear. After exhaling a sigh of relief, I begin to try and sit up. It's a old dream that I haven't seen in awhile. It's a long time since than, I thought that I would never dreamt of this nightmare of a past again.

".... .... I am sure it's that evil/calamity god's fault... ..."

After letting out another sigh, I got of the bed.
